Brief:

Create a series of four animated illustrations for use as visualizers at the 2021 African Crossroads conference on climate change. Topics to explore include: Earth and Air, Fire and Water, Knowledge Systems, and Physical Data.

Solution:

Hand-draw each piece in order to hint at the role of the human touch when it comes to engaging with the topic of climate change. After that, import, colour and animate the four illustrations using Photoshop and After Effects. This has resulted in a cohesive set of on-theme visualizers for use both during and after the conference, for the purpose of increased audience engagement.
