Brief:

Create the film poster and print merchandise for the award winning Kenyan film: “Lusala”

Solution:

“Lusala” tells the story of a car mechanic haunted by traumatic childhood experiences.

My solution was to use a thin line illustration to reflect the protagonist’s fragile psychological state, and contrast this with bold, orange typography.

This resulted in a beautiful film poster, for use in attracting audiences to the theatre. “Lusala” pulled two full-houses on its opening night.
