Brief:
Design a compelling and symbolic poster for the Kenyan film “Shimoni” (Swahili for “The Pit”), capturing key moments that reflect its themes and tone. Also, develop additional promotional materials for various media.

Solution:
I collaborated closely with the director to select key moments from the film, providing three draft illustrations and color schemes to choose from. Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I developed a minimal and symbolic poster. Additionally, I created social media assets, including a Facebook cover page and profile picture, and designed adaptable typography for use in fliers and as the backdrop at the premiere.

Process:

• Collaboration: Worked with the director to identify key moments from the film.

• Feedback and Revisions: Incorporated feedback from the director to finalize the design.
