Brief:

Design a short animation as the final Grad Project from Vancouver Film School (Digital Design)

Solution:

“Sacred Heart” tells the story of a young beautiful widow, cursed to turn increasingly uglier every time she is kind to others. This animation was a celebration of my different approaches to storytelling – written, spoken and visual. Choices such as the name Muthoni, the use of spirits, and the underlying musical beat are all odes to my culture. As a result I received a Vega Digital Award for this animation, and graduated with Honours.

Deliverables: Animated Video, Case Study, Powerpoint presentation of project to industry professionals.

Software Used: Cinema 4D, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop
